Formed in 2024 at the initiative of flutist Takahiro Uchiyama, the group brings together talented young musicians who have built their careers in the field of contemporary music. Composer and conductor Tetsuya Yamamoto serves as music director, and the group works on a variety of pieces based on diverse values, focusing on cutting-edge music from Japan and abroad, as well as "classics of contemporary music" that have already gained recognition and become part of the global repertoire.
For this performance, we welcome contemporary music specialist Musashi Baba as guest conductor, and the program has been selected with the main focus on performing multiple pieces from Mikael Jarrell's "Assonance" series in the same concert, something that has yet to be done in Japan. As per our customary commission slot, music director Tetsuya Yamamoto will compose a new work specifically for all of the performers in this concert.

Organizer: Ensemble Recurrence

Cooperation: Monten General Incorporated Association / Ryogoku Monten Hall
